Haul: February

Here is a haul blog post for you girls! No, I am not crazy and bought all of this in one shopping trip, this is over one months purchases. Tell me what you think about the things I bought!

Bobby Brown: Pot Rouge for Lips and Cheeks
Cabo Coral

I always apply this with a coral powder blush over it to set it! Stays on all day and looks totally natural. Bought at Murale (the highend store of Shoppers Drug Mart)

NYX: Blush
Dusty Rose
Beautiful mauve pink. Perfect for fall and winter. Very pigmented so be careful not to over apply. Purchased at Uniprix!

MAC: Powder Blush
Mighty Aphrodite
Part of the Wonder Woman collection. The paler colour is a beautiful light coral toned pink with shimmer, whereas the darker one is a very bright barbie-like pink. It is almost twice the size of a regular blush and retails for $32 in Canada! Recently, this is the only blush I've been using (over-top of the Bobbi Brown one). The packaging for the particular product is a bit child-toy ish but I do not buy the product for its packaging but for what is inside!

MAC: Mineralize Skin Finish
Powder Pink
This is HUGE. Much bigger than a regular MSF! You have to see it to believe it! There is a bronzer (the middle) and two light shimmery shades (ideal for highlighting). One light shade is more on the pink side whereas the other is beige. Im pretty sure this was $48, and I bought both Wonder Woman products the day they were released (I was excited!!!). The packaging for this product is much better than the blush, feels like better quality.

China Glaze: Nail Lacquers
Flip Flop Fantasy, Light as Air, Sea Spray & High Hopes
I FINALLY FOUND CHINA GLAZE WHERE I LIVE. It was one of the highlights of my life. It was very overwhelming to pick colours but I finally decided on these four. Flip Flop Fantasy is a neon pink from last years summer collection. Light as air is a gray toned light purple. Sea Spray is a gray toned light blue from the Anchors Away collection (spring). Finally High Hopes is a coral red colour.

Maybelline: Dream Mousse Concealer
Light 2-3.5
I bought two more of these because I saw they disappeared from the Maybelline website, which made me freak out because I was scared it was discontinued (are they?). I love the mousse consistency and how it applies so naturally!

OPI: Nail Lacquers
Shatter & Senorita Rose-Alita
I FINALLY found a store without a sold out shatter! I loooove it, below there is an example of what it looks like on my nail. I also bought Senorita Rose-Alita because its a beautiful fuchsia colour with golden undertones

Essie: Mini Nail Lacquer Set
Coat Azure, Nice is Nice, French Affair, Topless & Barefoot
This came in a set of four spring colours. All four colours are beautiful and 5ml each!My favorite is Coat Azure because it is the most unique blue, I am definitely purchasing the normal size!

Maybelline: FIT Foundation
120
I've been obsessed with this foundation. It provides a flawless silky finish on my skin. I can hardly believe it is from the drugstore. I have one of the lightest shades because my skin is very light, yet not porcelain.

l'Oreal: Voluminous Million Lashes
Black
I adore this mascara and I have a review this on my previous post, check it out!

MoroccanOil: Oil Treatment for all hair
This is actually a sample size that I did not purchase but my friend gave to me! I absolutely adore this product. It make my hair so silky and gives it a non-greasy shine. I am going to buy the full size as soon as I run out.

Maybelline: Dream Matte Powder
Light 4-5.5
This is my second purchase of this powder. I LOVE this, and I heard it was comparable to Natural M.S.F from MAC. I buy a dark shade for my skin, but it totally works!!

Mevida: Cleansing Wipes
I buy these at Dollarama for $1.25. They are honestly the best wipes I have ever tried. No,I have never tried Mac wipes or any high end ones. I hope those are better than $1.25 ones, but I've tried practically all the drugstore ones (Neutrogena, Clean & Clear...) and these are much better. Whenever I buy these I buy like 10 packs of them because I can't imagine not loving these anymore!

Aldo: Purse
I found this was a cute twist to that classic Channel purse that has the same pattern. I've never been drawn to liking that Channel purse, I personally found it too tacky, but I fell in love with this one the moment I saw it. It is a Pinkish Beige colour, which is perfect coming into spring. Also, there is an adorable bow with a flower pattern. I also love the straps because within the chain you can find that same flower pattern! This will definitely be my go-to spring & summer purse!

Bath & Body Works: Hand Sanitizers
I love shoes, I love cake & I love bling
I made a blog post about these when I first noticed them on the website a few weeks before Valentines Day. I was so excited about these because they sounded like they had great smell and the packaging is adorable and girly! When I finally went to Bath & Body Works, these were nowhere in sight. I later asked my friend who works there why there were none and she said they would not be receiving them due to language issues. I was incredibly mad and confused seeing as they had the lip gloss versions of these sanitizers at my store, why could they not change the packaging to work with our language laws? Well, in the end I got my hands on these three because my friend was in Florida and was sweet enough to bring them back for me.

Magazine Overload
Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan, People Style Watch, ELLE Canada.
I do not usually buy this much magazines in a month. I automatically receive Cosmo and Elle because I am subscribed. I bought Marie-Claire because Miley was on the cover, and I bought People Style Watch because I love it!!

Mascara's For Everyone!!!

What do you want your mascara to do for your lashes?

Mascara is my favorite makeup product because it makes the most drastic change to my face! As seen in the picture below (where my lashes are completely natural), my mascara-less lashes practically have no curl, they are pin straight, but they do have volume! My lashes are not short, but they are not long either. I tend to go for a mascara that will curl my lashes and lengten them. I do not mind clumpy and I always love a lot of volume. Now, Im going to show you the perfect mascaras for you. Wether you want curl, lenght, natural, etc... its here! I always pick "very black" or "blackest black" and if a company doesnt have this I just get black! I have not curled my lashed in any of the picture below, there is only mascara application, though I do curl them on a daily basis!

Do you want... NATURAL LASHES?

Two Layers

Try... l'Oreal "Voluminous Million Lashes"

Voluminous Million Lashes gives you the perfect natural lashes. The applicator is great for separating lashes individually so there is no clumping. There is also a stopper that removes any excess product from the brush when it comes out of the container. The formula dries very quickly so you only have time to put a couple of coats on, which is perfect if you want to keep it simple and natural.

Do you want... VOLUME?

Two Coats

Try... l'Oreal "Voluminous"

If you love volume, this mascara will be for you! I buy the curved brush because it provides extra curl but there is also a standard one. Seeing as my tube is nearly empty, theres not much product on the brush, but when you first get it, trust me, the brush will be LOADED with product. This mascara can get extremely clumpy depending on how many layers you apply. It is a very wet formula so you can apply coats after coats as desired, but be careful not to touch it right after you are done because it will smudge. If you want to reduce clumpyness, just apply a coat of a dry mascara (such as the previous one) prior to this one. This is definitaly one of my favorite mascaras!

Do you want... LENGHT?

One Coat

Try... Maybelline "Pulse Perfection"

This is also one of my favorites. I was so intrigued by this mascara because it vibrates. I find the vibration separates lashes very well. The formula is a bit clumpy when used without the vibration, but when you do use it, there is a huge difference. If you're not interested about the vribrating mascara, than I would recommend you simply buy the "Define A-Lash" since it is the exact same formula and brush, just without the vibration. This mascara does wonders for lenght, and it has a lot of volume (not as much a voluminous).

Do you want... CURL?

Two Coats

Try... Benefit "Bad Gal Lash"

When it comes to curl, the magical tool is an eyelash curler, nothing will curl like one of those. I would recomend you use one if you're looking for a nice curl and that way you can use any mascara! I do understand some people are not comfortable with them, so this is the mascara I would use if I did not have an eye lash curler. This mascara gives a very nice curl, and a lot of volume. Even more important, it knows how tohold the curl, which a lot of mascaras lack. This mascara is high end and has a very high price (which is why I bought the travel size to test it) compared to all the other ones I mentioned. I do not think I will be repurchasing it, but if you need curl maybe you should!

Do you want... THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS?

Two Coats

Try... Covergirl "LashBlast Fusion"

Since my tube is almost empty, the picture does not make it justice. I'd say it gives double the volume than the picture displays when you first start using it. If you are looking for lenght, volume & curl, this is the mascara for you. Although it does not do every aspect as well as all the other mascaras mentioned do their specific tasks, it is the best mascara that fufills all the tasks at once. The wand is HUGE, so be careful not to poke your eye out. The formula is great and stays put all day.

You can't forget... THE BOTTOM LASHES!

Try... NYX "1000 Miles Long Lashes"

Bottom lashes are important aswell! High end companies are coming out with mascaras specifically for your bottom lashes, and now it is becoming a trend to have a mascara dedicated to them! My favorite mascara for my bottom lashes is my NYX 1000 miles long lashes because its wand is very thin and fits perfectly on them (unlike the LashBlast Fusion) and the formula is not overwelming. It provides a hint of mascara on those lashes, and it only cost around $5!
