Day 12 - Inspirational photo
There are two things that truly inspire me; Peacocks & Paris. Since Paris is very broad, I decided to go with peacocks for this one
I've had an obsession for peacocks since I was a child. When I would go to the zoo I wasn't excited the see the elephants and giraffes, I was looking forward to seeing the peacocks. I have grown up loving them for their beauty. I even have a huge peacock statue in my room.
At about the age of 13, I went to Mexico with my family where I was surprised to see peacocks wondering around the resort. I'm not kidding you when I say they were even inside the hotels. I was so happy and took over 50 pictures of peacocks during that trip (more than pictures of the beach). You would be eating supper, and one would walk right by your table (picture on the left).
Now, why do I find peacocks inspirational? I really think it's the colours. You can find blue, green, orange, brown, yellow, etc... You can't forget how beautiful their tail is. The mix of colour has always inspired me when painting and drawing and even in my makeup.What I love at the moment is how in style the peacock pattern is. I see it on clothing and accessories everywhere. Everyone is rocking peacock feather earrings and I'm loving it!
In Mexico, I did have the opportunity to see a peacock fan out its tail. Sadly, by the time I got my camera out, the peacock had turned around and a minute later closed its fan, so I couldn't get a picture. But this is what I got!
