Spring Nail Polish

I've been horrible with my posts but I finally finished midterms and have some time for myself. Enjoy!!!

GO FOR... PASTELS

Pastel colours are always in for spring. Spring is widely associated to Easter which is all about these types of colours. The above nail lacquers are from JOE (only available in Canada at Loblaws. 3 for $10) in Powder Blue, Faded Violet and Butter.

GO FOR... GRAY TONED COLOURS

Although these look like pastel colours, they are most definitely gray toned. Go for a gray blue or purple for the perfect spring colour! above is China Glaze Sea Spray and Light as Air.

GO FOR... HOLOGRAPHIC COLOURS!

What is a holographic lacquer? One that reflects different colours at different lights. Instead of your typical holographic silver or gold, go for a pink or purple for spring. Sally Hansen lacquer in Virtual Violet reflects blue and green where as Sinful Colors Bali Mist reflects practically every colour in the rainbow.

GO FOR... MINT!

Mint is basically the pastel equivalent of green, but this colour is definitely the celebrity of pastels. It was one of the hot colours of last summer, and it's coming back in style, so make sure you get a bottle of this colour. Above is JOE's Mint and Essie's Mint Candy Apple.

 GO FOR... BRIGHT GREEN!

Make a statement with a bright green. Green is the colour of nature and spring is all about rebirth of nature. Rock green with Essie's Pretty Edgy.
GO FOR... LIGHT PINKS!

Not quite pastel but not bright pink. Rock light pink nails during spring! My perfect spring light pink is OPI's A Dozen Rosas. (it was part of their regular line but got discontinued. If you're interested check your beauty store they might still have it, maybe even discounted!)
