Royally Obsessed, Continued.

I've finished my Winter semester of school today! Hallelujah!! This means I finally had time to watch the Royal Wedding. So exciting!

Id like to start by saying how much of a romantic I can sometimes be. This might explain the reason why I got emotional watching the marriage. I mean, it is a true fairytale every young girl grows up dreaming about. What are the chances that you meet a Prince, you both fall in love and marry?

Once you grow up, you get over that "Prince Charming" dream. That is until you see a royal wedding like this one, it all comes winding back. Where is my prince? ;)

Now I will stop blabbering! Can I just start by saying how beautiful Kate, or Catherine the Duchess of Cambridge, looked. Her dress was outstanding. It is not over the top, but it is a dress that I will remember for the rest of my life. It just couldn't be any more perfect. But she also looked beautiful in a more emotional way. She glowed with happiness, although it must have been such a stressful day. I could practically feel rays of sunshine coming out of her through my television.

Who else was happy? You guessed it, the groom, William! Genuine joy sparkled through his eyes the whole entire time. It was so wonderful to see such a powerful love between both of them.

Now, lets talk wedding cake. I may not be a huge cake fan, in the eating sense, but I do love some Cake Boss. For their reception dinner they had an elegant white cake with very light beige details. Looking at the cake from far you would only notice the flower detailing. It is when you get close up to the cake that you realize how incredibly precise the detailing really is. I am sure every person at the wedding reception was blow away it & I sure was what I saw the closeup. What I absolutely love about it is the pearls. It makes the cake look so luxurious. It is definitely royal appropriate and I congratulate the maker of this cake. I don't like cake, but I would absolutely eat this one, it looks delicious!

As final words, I would like to congratulate William & Kate for their marriage. They have made the world fall back in love with the royals, by falling in love with each other.

Day 07 - Your pet's OOTD

I truly wish I could show you my cats outfit of the day. Sadly, my 9 year old kitty passed away 10 days ago. Too young right? This cat was one of the most loved cats in the world and lived the best life a cat can live. I wish I could have kept him so much longer, but he was sadly born with a heart disease which caused him to have a heart failure one morning. He passed away with my parents and I by his side. I will love him for the rest of my life. No other cat could replace the place he took in my heart.
The good news is that I loved dressing my cat up for holidays (the only stress he had to face) so I have a couple of recent pictures.

This is him last Halloween:

He's my little devil

Him last Christmas:

He was always my Christmas gift!

The day before he passed away: (he was doing a little bit of cat modeling)

May he rest in peace <3

Day 06 - Anything Hello Kitty

Hello Kitty Long Wallet:...Hello Kitty Fragrance

I am not really a huge Hello Kitty fan, but I do find her cute.  Thinking about it, I only own one Hello Kitty object, and childish wallet from a very long time ago.
There are two things I would want from Hello Kitty. First, the wallet above. I think it is absolutely adorable, and I will keep an eye out for it next time I visit Chinatown.
Second is the Hello Kitty perfume at Sephora. Everytime I visit Sephora I have to smell it, and it is amazing. It smells like a mix of many fruits, with a note of vanilla. I also can't deny how adorable the packaging is, I always wanted a perfume with an atomizer, so classy!

Royally Obsessed

It happened... I caught the royal fever yesterday. Disney fairytales were always my favourite, and this is as close as it gets. I need to watch the Royal Wedding! The problem: I have an exam in a 5 hours and another one in 24. DILEMMA!

One thing I swore to myself was that I will not see her dress until I watch the full coverage. This basically means I need to go on a full media hibernation for the next day or so. This will be impossible, ITS EVERYWHERE.

How will I do this?

Are you watching the Royal Wedding? (please don't ruin the dress for me!!!)

Update: I lost some precious studying time and watched it.. Bad bad me!

Today is a very comfy day for me, so this is not an extravagant outfit! I had an exam this morning and I'm studying for another one that is tomorrow, so there's no point of dressing up! My camera batteries died, so I couldn't take a picture!

Day 04 - Your favorite foundation

Skin 79: Super+ BB Cream

This one is hard, for the simple reason that I change foundations like seasons change. I've been using this one for about a month or so, and it definitely tops any other foundation I've ever tried. Well, it isn't exactly a foundation, its a BB cream (beblesh balm). I really want to do a full review of this product once school is over, so wait up for this.

You can purchase this product on the Skin79 website, or find in an local Asian Cosmetic store. It retails at $27 USD on their website, but I bought it for $20 CND at my local store, so prices vary!

Nails of the Day: Turquoise and Caicos by Essie

It's 1 AM, I can't sleep. Might as well do a nails of the day right?

So here is Turquoise and Caicos by Essie. I bought this colour because I heard it was a dupe for "For Audrey" by China Glaze, which is a true Tiffany blue colour (China Glaze hard to find where I live). After a long search, I randomly fell on Turquoise and Caicos in a Drugstore (Shoppers Drugmart). The colour looked much greener than a Tiffany blue box in the bottle, but I have found that many of my Essie colours turn out to be a tad different than what you find in the bottle.

On my nails, it ended up as a pretty true turquoise colour. I was dissapointed! Don't get me wrong, the colour is absolutely beautiful but I was really expecting and hoping for a Tiffany blue. Even Google images show this colour being a dupe for Tiffany blue, but either they reformulated their colour or the camera couldn't catch the green in the polish.

Day 03 - Your favourite brush

Ecotools Blush Brush
This brush has been appreciated since the moment it was bought. I adore blush, and this Ecotools brush is perfect for powder blushes. It has a very unique cut to it that applies blush perfectly, in my opinion. This says a lot, because it surpasses two of my MAC blush brushes.

The best part? It is made of cruelty free bristles, totally ecofriendly & is very inexpensive. You can purchase this brush at Wal-Mart for about $5.

Day 02 - Your favourite bag that you own
Big Buddha Arlene

I am a freak for oversize bags, mainly because I over pack them! I put so much random things inside my bag I could practically live in it. This means it's always heavy and ends up breaking after a few months. This baby has carried my laptop and multiple books at the same time & it looks as good as new. Also, I'm a sucker to sewn on flowers like these ones, so I HAD to get it.

I bought it on BagHaus.com for $82 (+ a crappy $20 shipping). Thankfully there was a 30% off promotion so I saved the shipping cost and paid a little over $70 in total.

Day 01 >> 30 Day Challenge

Day 01 - Your Favourite Makeup Palette
Too Faced: Natural Eye Palette

Every penny I put into this palette was worth it! It has infinite possibilities to the looks you can create. Whether you're going to school, work, a club or supper there will be a colour combination for you. All for $35USD / $44CND.

Includes shades: Heaven (matte ivory), Velvet Revolver (matte taupe), Sexspresso (matte deep brown), Silk Teddy (peach champagne shimmer), Push-Up (light bronze shimmer), Erotica (soft charcoal shimmer), Nude Beach (champagne shimmer with gold glitter), Honey Pot (gold shimmer), Cocoa Puff (warm chocolate brown shimmer)

** I've decided to do the 30 Day Challenge. Seeing as I'm in exams it will be an easy way to update my blog every day. I do not remember where I found this because I saved it months ago, I did try to find the exact link but I just couldn't. Also, a lot of these were not relevant to me what so ever (contact lenses of the day... I don't have any) or repetitive so I modified the challenge a little. If you want the whole challenge (original or my version), click on read more!

Nail of the Day: OPI's The One That Got Away

The only colour I wanted from the Katy Perry collection was "The One That Got Away" (+ the shatter...). I kept going back and forth as to whether I wanted to buy it, and every time I decided I would it would coincidentally go out of stock, giving me enough time to change my mind.

My friend had bought it and offered to lend it to me, which I accepted! I've finally tried it on & if you like the way it looks in the bottle, wait till you see it on your nails

Sadly, my camera could not catch the exact colour it was, and trust me when I say that I filled my memory card trying to get the picture right. I'd say it's a tad more burgundy and has so much more shimmer than the picture shows. It's such a diva colour (the good kind of diva) and you'll look like a star with it on your nails!

Did you get any Katy Perry polishes?

MAC Eye Shadow Dupes in 1 Palette!

I personally only own 10 MAC eye shadows, and the facts that I found 5 dupes out of those 10 colours in this palette is amazing. I mean, there probably are a bunch more I don't know of!

Also, don't forget that this palette costs less than 2 MAC eye shadows. Totally worth it right?

Nails of the Day: Essie's Topless & Barefoot

Unlike makeup, when it comes to nail polish, I am all about colours! You will rarely find me with nude nails. I recently bought a mini set of Essie's spring collection, and this colour was in it. I was not very interested in this one, but I really wanted the others.

This is a pale beige with pink undertones to it. You can especially see the pink tones in the sunlight. I've never found a nude colour that is opaque and suits my skin tone, but this one does!

After one day of wearing it I got bored, but didn't have time to remove it. I got the bright idea of using a thin brush black polish to design a cute bow on my thumb, which actually brought my nails to a whole other level. I wish I took a picture of it (but dumb me didn't, I'll do it again soon!).

What do you think of this colour?

Nails of the Day: Essie's Van D'Go

I recently bought this colour, and this is the first time I've ever tried it on. I am not kidding when I say this is officially my favourite nail polish, taking the first position above my beloved Sephora by OPI's Metro Chic & OPI Tropical Punch.
The colour in the bottle is nothing compared to the finished product on your nails. You will have an almost neon coral pink (if that exists). The colour is perfect for spring and summer, and I noticed that it makes my hands look so tanned (although I am as pale as snow at this time of the year). Ideal polish for a day at the beach or by the pool!
Have a great day!! :)

Update!!

Recently, I've had NO time to write on here. I know, I am a horrible blogger.

So, school is taking over my life. I'm currently in finals, and if you go to University you know how horrible exam season can be. Even worst, it is finally nice outside, so all I want to do is go biking and walking. AS IF I HAD THE TIME.

I just got home from my first final which ended at 9PM today, 3 more to go! I think it went well! Come April 30th, I am free.

Well, not exactly... I am taking two classes in the summer. :( I know it sucks, but they're intensive and end before July, so I will have the rest of the summer for myself. I just need extra credits..

Anyways, I'm going try posting a couple of posts here and there. I'll do my best!

Love you all, if you read my blog :)
